this is a touchy subject but if you need reasons as to why i think shu itsuki used to be abusive, here's the place.

first off, i don't hate shu in anyway. he's definately closer to the bottom of the list, but i don't ever post about how much i dislike him or anything. jsut the occasional "kind of pissed that people excuse shu's behavior" thing.

the marionette-puppetmaster imagery in nazuna and shu's relationship is very important. shu thinks of nazuna as a doll. sure, with just that it's not totally bad, but he was manipulating him, telling nazuna he wasn't allowed to speak and controlling almost everything he did. this is a really major part in why i think shu was abusive to nazuna; most people write shu off as "shu was abused/bullied when he was younger, and he just wants the best for nazuna! he's not abusive!" but this isn't... really true... just because you have good intentions doesn't mean that the other person is sudden immune from getting abused. it doesn't matter whether the intentions were good or not, because the actions were still bad. being abused in the past does not give you the right to abuse or manipulate people.

i've also seen people say that shu wasn't abusive because not all of his actions toward nazuna were bad. coming from an abuse victim, abuse is barely ever 100% abuse. sure, your dad could beat you everytime you did something wrong, but does buying you things you want and being nice to you at other times negate that? no, it doesn't. it never does. it doesn't in this case as well.

shu's case with mika is kind of... iffy with me. i don't really like shumika but i don't hate on anyone who does. it just rubs me the wrong way but i know shu is trying to get over the stuff with nazuna which is good! i think nazuna leaving valkryie was good character development for both nazuna and shu. i hope shu continues to grow as a character. it's like 11PM i'm tired this is all i think
